IUE-CWA Local 84807 is located in Jeffersonville, Indiana, and was established as a union in September 2000. Our first bargaining agreement was with Ryder Integrated Logistic until January 2001. We have had a bargaining agreement with Tri-Starr Management Services Inc. since 2001.

We are proud to say that we are a part of a diverse group of members and we are growing. Our 201 members are of many nationalities, languages, and cultures which make daily interactions interesting.

One of our challenges is to accommodate each nationality with a go-to person who speaks their individual language. The other challenge would be to educate our members of their rights in the workplace and the importance of having a union.

Thomas Mingle (President elected Oct. 2008) encourages new members to get involved, come to meetings and join committees. All participation is welcomed; solidarity is the key to a strong union.

Helping Hands

Our union is here to help members in any way possible, but often the union and office staff work together in helping union members. One such case was with our Helping Hands toy drive which benefited twelve IUE-CWA 84807 members and their families during the 2009 holiday season. Some workers at our facility wanted to help some less fortunate co-workers provide a joyful holiday for their children. The TMSi staff worked with union Secretary Treasurer Diana Brown to facilitate co-workers helping co-workers.
